Program Description:
Dr. Avinash Thombre, Professor in Applied Communication, will be leading a group to Havana, Cuba in November. Students will be in Havana from November 22-28, 2019.  The course will experience a walking tour of the Vedado neighborhood, guest lectures at Centro de Estudios Martianos, Cuban national perspectives on hybridity and cultural diversity in Cuba, visit the anthropology museum, and visit with Assen Dance to learn about Caribbean and AfroCuban art and culture.  

This trip is $3,150 and includes accommodation, international insurance, domestic and international flight, and some meals.  Students should be prepared to have a color copy of their passport and a $550 deposit by July 24, 2019.
